Alien Swarm Review

So playing in Practice mode doesn't fully entail a full review for this game. But what the hell....

Alien Swarm is a shooter game similar to Killing Floor, where you get to choose from different classes of soldiers available and defend yourselves against aliens.

What makes this shooter so unique is its camera view - unlike your typical FP or First Person view, this one's in overhead third person. If you can recall how some NES games were when it came to the overhead third person view, it's similar to Alien Swarm's camera view.

Check this video out: IGN: Retroburn in Steam - check his blog at http://www.imbacore.blogspot.com

They got raped in that video but it can give you an idea of what to expect when playing Alien Swarm.

This game is free from Steam and it's a whopping 2gb download - I finished mine in like 3 hours last night.

If you guys don't have a Steam account, you can easily sign up for one when you download their launcher thingy.

Happy gaming, y'all!

After scouring the market for a laptop, I stumbled onto Open Source computer sales in Divisoria where the salesman convinced me that I was paying for too much with my first choice of laptop - ASUS k42JK. He told me of a cheaper laptop that's got the same performance with the ASUS and after reading Acer Emachines D640 reviews on Tipidpc.com, I am now convinced to buy the model.

Take note there's a big price difference: Emachines D640 costs only 23k php while the ASUS K42jk costs a whopping 34k.

Despicable Me and Expendables and my Laptop Quest

Hmmmmmm...

I feel the need to watch these two movies sometime within this month. Despicable Me should've been shown like last July on our theaters but for some unknown reason, they never did.

Also looking forward to the Testosterone-filled movie The Expendables starring Sylvester Stallone this month.

By the way, help me choose which laptop I should buy:

Lenovo G460
Intel Core i3 2.26Ghz
2gb RAM
320GB HD
Nvidia Geforce 310M - 512mb

or

Asus K42JK
Intel Core i3 - 2.26GHZ
2GB RAM
320GB HD
ATI Radeon HD5145 - 1gb
